Doc McStuffins Birthday

The doc is in!
It was time for a three year old check-up and we all knew Doc McStuffins was best for the job. So, we invited our guests to the Cuddle Clinic for a healthy dose of fun! Between the candy prescriptions and teddy bear patients, this party’s cuteness factor was on overload. Check it out!

Welcome to the Cuddle Clinic!

Our pharmacy was full of treats to make us sweet!

The Doc prescribed the sweetest of cakes from Sewell Sweets! It was pink and purple velvet...yum!

Treat(ment)s included chocolate pretzel thermometers, yogurt shots, candy vitamins, and strawberry wafer band-aids!

Don't forget to stay hydrated!

Everything tastes better out of glitter cups;)

Our Build-a-Bear "patients" with their own custom hospital gowns!

Our check-in table had patient wristbands, check-up lists, and doctor kits and accessories.

Having fun playing doctor!

Our check-up station was just the right size for doctors in the making!

Hallie and her hippos. The kids LOVED blowing bubbles!

Pin the band-aid on Lambie was the perfect twist on a classic party game.

The beautiful birthday girl!

Make a wish!

At the end of the party, we finally reached a diagnosis...everyone had a classic case of Happy-birthday-tosis!

"Swimming with the Sharks" Birthday Party

It's shark week!!! Well, for this birthday boy, at least! All he wants is all sharks, all the time,  so where better to have a birthday party, than at the aquarium?!? We had so much fun playing up the shark theme, with the aquarium's natural aquatic ambiance as the perfect backdrop. What more could a birthday boy want than shark cupcakes and live manta rays? It was AWESOME.

Parents dropped off kids before the 40 minute drive to the aquarium, so we made sure to have lunches packed for the car ride...themed, of course!

For the party table, we played with the concept of shark diving (this three year old's dream...he's a brave one), with our own custom shark cage and sharks galore!

The birthday boy LOVES his sugar, so we made sure we had it going on with shark cupcakes, "fish bait" gummies, and "life preserver" doughnuts. Sorry, parents;)

Deliciously viscious!

And finally, our happy birthday boy! The very reason we LOVE this job.
(I'm still team dolphin though)

"The Little Mermaid" Pool Party

For this pool party, we dove "Unda da Sea" and transported guests into Ariel's mermaid kingdom! With splashy elements like our jellyfish lanterns, mermaid tail towels, and ship anchor favor bags, the undersea motif was in strong effect. And, of course the birthday girl LOVES The Little Mermaid, so we incorporated all of her favorite movie elements, with Dinglehopper Hair Bows, Sea Witch Punch, King Triton's Clam Cookies, and more! The kids loved all of the little details, and even had fun with some Little Mermaid trivia. For activities, we had kiddie pools, an inflatable water slide, and played "Mermaid Sack Race" with old pillow cases--they had a blast!

Little Mermaid Dessert Table

The beautiful mermaid cake was courtesy of Sewell Sweets!

The desserts included seashell chocolates and edible pearls, assorted macaroons, chocolate dipped madeleines, and King Triton's clam shell cookies!

 Little Mermaid Favor Table

Favors included: Dinglehopper hair bows, miniature tridents, mermaid tail towels, and ship anchor goody bags.

And to drink? Ursula's Sea Witch Punch, of course!

Finally, here are a few fun snaps of the kids in our mermaid/merman photobooth!

Fairytale Costume Party

"The secret of genius is to carry the spirit of the child into old age, which means never losing your enthusiasm."
-Aldous Huxley

Enjoy your walk through fairytale land as you scroll through this post!
We pulled inspiration from all of the fairytale classics, and focused heavily on the "fairy glen" motif.  You'll spot familiar symbols and objects in some of the smaller details--paying homage to the fairytale characters that have a home in our hearts.

The dessert table

Our food spread included the birthday cake, assorted sweets, pudding tea cups, fruits, vegetables, and wraps.  We also enjoyed the "Glass Slipper" and "One With Nature" cocktails, from Cocktails by Cody.

Old fairytale books were used all throughout the decor to tie the theme together, as well as little trinkets that were used to bring the stories to life.

We turned the party punch evil, with the simple adding of a few apples. Sinfully delicious!

And, of course, one cannot have a fairytale party without some proper costumes!
