Tiffany & Co. Baby Shower

When I found out I was having another little girl, I immediately started planning the baby shower.  Yes, I know...I should have been buying diapers and stocking up on bibs, but really, this seemed like more fun;) It should come as no surprise to those of you who know me, that I immediately took to my obsession with Breakfast at Tiffany's and went for a "Baby & Co." baby shower.  Since the due date was Christmas day, I also wanted to incorporate Christmas elements and the result is my designer winter wonderland!

Jungle Baby Shower

"Wild Child!"

They always say little boys are the wild ones (though I have 2 adorable girls that I swear prove otherwise), so why not have fun with a "Wild Child" baby shower?!?

Everything from the diaper cake, to the baby gear, was covered in animal print, and it had the guests going bananas!

Come see...

Cowgirl Birthday Party

When a little girl says, "Howdy" instead of, "Hello," and chooses horses over unicorns EVERY time, it's probably a safe bet that she's a cowgirl at heart.
For this "cowgirl" party, we were working on a tight budget, in a small apartment, which allowed me to really tap into my creativity.
Here's the result.  Let me know what you think!

"It aint the clothes that make the cowgirl, it's the attitude and heart."

Fairytale Birthday Party

Bibbity Bobbity Boo! Little Fashionista's turning 2!

For Little Fashionista's second birthday party, we decided go with a fairytale theme which lended itself perfectly to her recent dress-up obsession. Since toddlers are hard to keep focused, we decided to keep things simple and only have one organized party game (a variation of Pin the Tail on the Donkey), and then have a bunch of different things for the kids to run around and play with (Cinderella's dress-up box, Mad Hatter's tea party table, etc.).  It worked brilliantly and the kids imaginations went much fun to watch!

Come look!

Superhero Birthday Party

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a Superhero Birthday Party!

As most of you know, we fully embrace superheroes in our house so it should come as no surprise that I LOVED planning this party!

Check it out!

The favorite food at the party: "HULK SMASH!!! WARNING! May cause Gamma Radiation, erratic weight gain, and temporary personality disorder."

Candyland First Birthday Party

"You're my candy girl!"

When Little Fashionista's first birthday rolled around, I really wanted to brainstorm themes that she could relate to. But, let's be real, she was turning one.  And a one-year-old's brain doesn't go beyond milk, food, blankie...ooh shiny! But, that's when I came up with the idea to create a Candyland.  From the bright colors to the sugar overload, it seemed like the perfect party theme for a little one-year-old's wondrous eyes.

Here is my first attempt at a children's birthday party...

Thank you, Desserts by Diane, for the oh-so-sweet birthday cake!

Rice Krispy ice cream cones and chocolate bars were a huge hit!

Guests got to choose from every candy imaginable and fill up their own take-home bags.
